If you’ve ever joined us for one of our quarterly wine release parties at our Healdsburg tasting room, you know we don’t just pour great wine—we serve up unforgettable bites, too. This Tri-Tip Crostini has become a total fan favorite among our club members and guests. It’s bold, flavorful, and the perfect pairing for a glass of robust red wine.

At Spicy Vines, we love recipes that bring people together and elevate the wine experience. This one features our very own Spicy Vines Espresso BBQ Rub—a coffee-based, peppery, and aromatic blend that enhances the flavor of grilled meats and pairs beautifully with wines that have notes of dark fruit, cocoa, and spice.

Whether you’re hosting a party, pairing with your latest wine club shipment, or just feeling fancy on a Friday night, this crostini is quick, easy, and guaranteed to impress.


Wine Pairing Suggestions: Robust reds like Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, or Petit Verdot. (Hint: our 2020 PMV Red Blend is a perfect match.)

Cooking Time: 30 minutes

Directions:

Slice baguettes about ½” thick. Brush with olive oil and sprinkle lightly with Espresso BBQ Rub. Lightly toast in the oven and let cool.

Assemble each crostini: spread horseradish sauce, add tri-tip slices, arugula, caramelized onions, bleu cheese, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze.

Finish with a pinch more Espresso BBQ Rub for an extra kick (optional, but encouraged).
