INGREDIENTS

3 lbs fresh strawberries (washed, stems removed, chopped)

1 bottle Spicy Vines Original Blend (750ml)

3½ cups raw sugar

3 tbsp fruit pectin

Juice of 1 lemon

Sweet. Spicy. Bold. Just like your favorite glass of red.

Q: What did the strawberry say to the other strawberry?
A: “If you weren’t so fresh, we wouldn’t be in this jam.”

We’ve been stirring up a little kitchen mischief at Spicy Vines, and this time it’s jam-packed—literally—with flavor.

Our Sultry Strawberry Jam takes the classic preserve you love and gives it a bold twist with a splash (okay, a whole bottle) of our Spicy Vines Original Blend, a red spiced wine full of warm, aromatic notes that play beautifully with ripe berries.

And if you’re not vibing with strawberries this season? No problem. Swap in figs, raspberries, blackberries, or go wild with a blend.

Sultry Strawberry Jam Recipe

YIELD: 6 half-pint jars
PAIRING: Spicy Vines Original Blend (in and beside your jam!)

Directions

Prep your berries: Wash and hull strawberries. Chop into chunky pieces for texture.
Simmer the goodness: In a medium pot, combine strawberries, wine, sugar, and lemon juice. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium-low heat.
Reduce + infuse: Simmer for 40 minutes, stirring occasionally, allowing the wine to reduce and infuse the fruit.
Set it: Add pectin and stir well. Simmer for an additional 5–10 minutes. If jam is still too runny, continue to simmer in 10-minute intervals until thickened to your liking.
Jar it up: Transfer hot jam into sterilized half-pint jars, seal, and cool.

 Serving Suggestions

This sultry spread is perfect on a cheese board. We love it with:

Creamy brie or camembert
Sharp cheddar or tangy bleu cheese
Toasted crackers or crostini

Don’t forget the Spicy Vines Original Blend in your glass—because what grows together, goes together.

Jam Session with Miss Rita

This recipe was developed in our winery kitchen with a little help from Miss Rita, our in-house culinary creative. As we tested new jam and preserve ideas, one thing became clear: wine belongs in your jam just as much as it belongs in your glass.
